We’ve expanded our Kerikeri factory, giving us the space to install a second machine centre in the facility. Promax is already known as New Zealand’s leading manufacturer of polyethylene water storage and transport solutions, but this expansion takes us to even greater heights.
Promax Managing Director, Walter Strachan, says the expansion is all part of the company’s long-term plan.
“This is not about getting bigger. It’s about getting better. It helps us keep our promise of making life easy for our customers by further reducing delivery times while continuing to produce high-quality products. This is another step in the right direction for Promax and part of our plan to keep investing, growing and improving our business.”
The new machine centre has elevated our production capacity by up to 50%. The second oven, from the Canadian company that supplied the factory’s original oven, is the best you can get anywhere in the world. It lets us meet the increasing demand for mid-size tanks, including slimline and underground models, for the high-density residential market. However, it has brought considerable advantages across all the sectors we service.
The most immediate benefit is that it further reduces lead times for tank delivery. This makes Promax an even more competitive force in the local market, with lead times down to just a few weeks. However, it’s not only customers who gain from a bigger and better Promax. The Northland community also profits, with several local people employed to operate the new machine centre, becoming part of the success story that Promax continues to write.
